The National ICT Innovation Hub is a government-established facility under the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance dedicated to nurturing Uganda’s innovation ecosystem. It provides a collaborative space where innovators, startups, and researchers can access mentorship, workspace, and technical support to develop and scale digital solutions that address local challenges.

The Hub is managed by the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance through the Department of Innovation, Technology Development, and Support, with day-to-day operations coordinated by a professional management team.

The Hub is located at the UICT Campus in Nakawa, Kampala, along the Jinja Highway.

The Hub offers a modern co-working space, meeting rooms, a boardroom, training rooms, an auditorium for events, and high-speed internet connectivity. There’s also a podcast room, IOT Lab, Founders’ space, and breakout areas for collaboration.

The Hub organizes national and thematic hackathons, ideation bootcamps, innovation showcases, and entrepreneurship challenges that tackle issues in agriculture, health, fintech, green growth, and education.

The Hub organizes regular mentorship sessions, masterclasses, and training workshops in areas such as business development, pitching, software development, design thinking, and emerging technologies like AI, IoT, and blockchain.

Yes. The Hub works closely with regional ICT innovation hubs in universities of Kabale, Muni, Soroti and Busitema and partner institutions across the country to ensure innovators outside Kampala can benefit from training, mentorship, and national programs.
